FEES POLICY STATEMENT

1. Purpose of the Policy

This Fees Policy Statement provides guidance on the determination, approval, communication, and management of student fees at Canopy Training Institute in line with the TVET Act, TVETA regulations, and relevant examination bodies requirements.

 

2. Fee Structure

  1. The institution shall maintain an approved and published fee structure for all programmes offered.

  2. Fees shall be reasonable, affordable, and commensurate with the training services provided.

  3. All fees payable shall be clearly itemized and communicated to students prior to admission.

  4. No fees shall be introduced or varied without management approval and adequate notice to students.

 

3. Categories of Fees

The institution may charge the following fees where applicable:

  • Tuition fees

  • Registration and admission fees

  • Examination fees (as guided by relevant examining bodies)

  • Industrial attachment fees

  • Graduation fees

  • Training materials and practical fees (where applicable)

 

4. Industrial Attachment Fee

  1. An industrial attachment fee shall be charged to cover costs related to:

    • Placement coordination and support

    • Industrial supervision and assessment

    • Logbooks and attachment documentation

    • Trainer facilitation and administrative costs

  2. The attachment fee shall be charged once per attachment period.

 

5. Graduation Fee

  1. A graduation fee shall be charged once to finalists to facilitate:

    • Graduation ceremony logistics

    • Gown hire and administration

    • Certificate handling and issuance support

  2. Graduation fees shall be paid only by eligible finalists and shall not be refundable once graduation preparations commence.

 

6. Payment Terms

  1. Fees shall be payable per term or as stipulated in the fee structure.

  2. Students are encouraged to clear fees within the specified timelines to avoid disruption of training or assessment.

  3. Flexible payment arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis upon formal request.

 

7. Refund Policy

  1. Refunds, where applicable, shall be processed in accordance with the institution’s Refund Policy.

  2. Fees paid for services already rendered shall not be refundable.

 

 

8. Policy Review

This policy shall be reviewed periodically to ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements and responsiveness to institutional needs.
